Eden Restaurant and Lodge provided a disappointing service during our Digital Skills training on 21–22 May 2026. On the second day, lunch water was not delivered, the service was unprofessional, and the food was not fully catered for the 50 attendees as agreed. There were also concerns about how the remaining food was handled and about the overall attitude of some staff. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the venue for similar events unless these issues are addressed. Dear owner, equating the legitimate concern to greed as per your reply is very unfortunate. You missed the opportunity to address the main issue here. The only greed we witnessed was when your staff helped themselves to the left over food as we allocated food for 50 people and served the food among themselves, furthermore, the other greed is when you failed to deliver 50 bottles of water during lunch on day 2 and then invoice the department the whole amount, well that is greed for claiming the money for water that was never served. Lastly, please enrol your staff (the lady who was dishing meat) for basic customer service service course to deal with her attitude.

I saw their cafe special for a muffin and a beverage and visited them to try it out, however, they had run out of cupcakes by 10am on a weekday. I doubt they even made cupcakes for that day as we were the only people there at that time. I ordered a small mocktail which was about 250ml for R45 😳 completely overpriced for just cordial and sprite. Won’t be going back to Eden Cafe.

We had a Christmas lunch with family. Was so disorganized. I think we were a pilot cause they looked not prepared for the crowd. Complete disappointment for me. Not enough staff to cater, we had to do some of the things ourselves(getting and arranging for our own seats). Not enough cutlery and crockery. Food, not what I had in mind when I saw their menu of the day. There's potential so looking forward to the 2026 Christmas lunch
