Conference and Catering Experience at Horseshoe Inn, Kimberley We stayed at the Airport Hotel Kimberley, but our conference and catering arrangements were hosted at the Horseshoe Inn in Kimberley. Unfortunately, our experience with the Horseshoe Inn was extremely disappointing. From the conference side, basic support was poorly handled. We waited close to two days for simple items such as pens and notebooks, and these were only provided after numerous follow ups. This created unnecessary frustration during a professional event. The catering arrangements were also very restrictive. Supper was served only between 18:00 and 19:00, which is not practical for guests and delegates attending full day conference sessions. What stood out most was the attitude of management. The managers came across as unfriendly, dismissive, and lacking basic customer service. There was a clear sense of a take it or leave it attitude when concerns were raised, rather than a genuine effort to assist or resolve issues. A venue hosting conferences should understand the importance of professionalism, responsiveness, and hospitality. Sadly, this was not our experience at the Horseshoe Inn. Based on this experience, I would strongly not recommend the Horseshoe Inn for conference hosting or catering

We had our Christmas Lunch there. It was very delicious. I want to thank the owners and their staff that gave up their Christmas day to make ours special.

My husband stayed in room 237 and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The room is old and not well maintained, the shower was dirty, and the kettle was not working. The lady at reception mentioned it was a very busy period due to rugby events in Kimberley, but this should not affect basic standards. We would not recommend staying here.

Recently spent a weekend at Airport hotel and decided to visit Horseshoe Resturant WORST DECISION EVER. We got to the Resturant entrance and felt so unwelcomed, none of the staff greeted or took us to a table, felt a bit rascist to be honest. Super disappointed we where really looking forward to having dinner there but my wife and I stood at the entrance for literally 10 minutes, no one greeted us or to even say that we will attend to you shortly NOTHING, completely ignored. We stood there at the door like a couple of beggars who where a nuisance to everyone, we decided to walk off and left,NO ONE EVEN ASKED OR CARED! What a shame it’s 2026 and there are places that still carry past oppression mentality,,,,,, it’s all good though,, shame on you HORSESHOE RESTAURANT
