I was totally thrilled to arrive at Oak Valley farm and be directed to the Melting Pot venue. The tranquility of the short winding road to the parking area prepares you for a relaxed outdoors experience. Little is revealed from the parking area, but from there you are enticed to follow the steps to the next terrace. From here your eyes feast on a beautiful stretch of lawn and the lush tree canopy of raised oaks, stretching out, as if nurturing the beautiful lawn. The set-up for the bridal shower picnic looked super inviting, and was comfortably arranged with a combination of patio chairs, persian carpets & cushions. The spread included succulent roasted chicken pieces, a lovely cheese platter, artisan breads complemented with an excellent paté, hummus, pickled aubergine and olives. I would most certainly revisit, and look forward to experience the restaurant area and further explore their menu and Oak Valley wines. *Pictures shared of the event are not my own*

Enroute to Hermanus we decided to try out The Pool Room for breakfast. A lovely serene setting with pretty mountain views. Prices were reasonable. Eggs done perfectly. The Eggs Benedict is highly recommended. Excellent service. Our detour was well worth it - we will be doing this soon.

REALLY a very COOL restaurant! The owners&staff went out of their way to help organise a surprise dinner for my wife and her family! Beautiful views and lovely atmosphere, probably a piece of heaven on earth!!

My favorite restaurant in the Elgin Valley. I love the private atmosphere, excellent food and great wines.
