From the moment we were greeted, the waitress just had not even an inch of a friendly personality. I love coffee but definitely did not enjoy the 3 sips of my cappuccino that I ordered. We ordered 2 burgers medium to well done. 1 came rare and the other medium rare. Something about the patty just didn’t taste right, like it was off. I had a stomach ache about 20 minutes after leaving. We didn’t even eat half a burger between the 2 of us. The barista also did not know what a milk alternative was even though he thinks he made my coffee with oat milk when it was actually almond. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We left after paying the bill and went across the road to Slops where we had great food and great service

Very good meal at the Sanctuary. I had the vegetable soup to start, which was lightly curried and beautifully warming. I then had the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce, which was cooked perfectly to medium rare and beautifully tender and served with well-seasoned chips. I finished off with a beautiful Malva Pudding, which was decadent, and thankfully not as sweet as a sticky toffee pudding, making it a good way to finish the meal. Highly recommended.

Very nice dinner in plett. Very friendly service and the staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would say the Camembert could have been cooked a little longer to make it more gooey but still tasted nice. Good options on the menu. The chicken pie was extremely tasty!

The Sanctuary Perched on Main Street in Plettenberg Bay, The Sanctuary lives up to its name in every magnificent way. This restaurant offers more than just a meal—it delivers an experience that elevates both body and spirit. The Sky Bar, accessible by lift through the hotel, sits beside the pool area where gentle breezes provide natural air conditioning on warm days. From this elevated vantage point, diners are treated to sweeping views of Plettenberg Bay's pristine beach, the iconic Beacon Island, and the charming bustle of daily life unfolding below. During our light lunch visit, the service struck the perfect balance—attentive without being intrusive. The Chicken Salad exceeded expectations with its bold flavors and generous portions, setting itself apart from typical offerings elsewhere. Each ingredient seemed carefully selected to create something truly special. The cocktail menu deserves particular praise. The Frozen Raspberry cocktail is an absolute must-try—a refreshing masterpiece that perfectly complements the coastal setting and warm weather. Whether you're seeking a romantic lunch spot, a place to unwind with friends, or simply want to treat yourself to spectacular views paired with exceptional food, The Sanctuary delivers. This is destination dining at its finest, combining culinary excellence with Plettenberg Bay's natural beauty.
