No frills. Just a complete dam and deck, two steps outside its Stille Waters / Dam House. Two bedrooms (sleeper couch if needed), warm duvets when warm is needed and glorious outside times on the deck and at the Lapa on the other side of the dam. Endless playtime for the kids. A farm with a special story and a special feel. No frills in a special, lesser known place is all you needed.

Extraordinary views. Lovely hiking/ biking trails to be explored. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The cottages and facilities are very clean and sufficient. Will definately be back.

Having always dreamed of a wedding near my hometown, Goedgedacht Farm felt like the perfect choice from the moment we saw it. After our first visit, it was clear this was the place where we’d say ‘I do.’ The venue is breathtaking, surrounded by mountains and nature, and each part of the farm had a special charm. Jacques, the event manager, was absolutely fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. He even helped calm my nerves, which made such a difference! The day itself was everything we could have hoped for. Our ceremony took place in the chapel, which felt truly magical. Although it rained, Jacques and his team quickly adjusted, moving our pre-drinks into the main house without missing a beat. Our reception was held in the horse stables, right next to the main house, where a warm fireplace welcomed our 60 guests, creating the most cozy and intimate atmosphere. The whole experience was simply wonderful, and I couldn’t imagine a better day. We loved it so much, we decided to stay an extra night in the honeymoon suite by the lake, soaking in the beauty and peacefulness of the farm. Goedgedacht Farm is such a special venue, especially for those who love nature and the mountains—it was the perfect place to start our new chapter together.
