Visited red Ox vredendal for their Saturday breakfasts buffet and thourouly enjoyed it.entrering the property felt like i was at the Yellowstone ranch. Beautiful views and old school USA style cowboy ranch atmosphere with old town charm. Staff are friendly and helpful. Massive local wine selection and local olive oil on tap. The breakfast buffet was good, with a big variety of foods, which they replenish regularly. Will definitely visit again.

Not what I expected at all. The staff is friendly and very accommodating, but not professional at all. The food is ok, overall 3/10. Did order for starters the cheesy flatbread ....small mini cheese and tomatoe pizzas were rather served. Sushi was excellent. Burger was to say the least not up to standard, pasta was charged for full portion but served only half a portion. Pizzas was rather good. Overall impression was not good, bathrooms without toiletpaper and not clean at all, the impression overall was not too clean. Not good for business, attention to detail is rather key and most important!!! I am NOT complaining, i am stating the obvious, was also for very long in this kind of business.

Visited the beautiful Red Ox in Vredendal this morning for breakfast, and it was truly a treat for the whole family. The menu offers a great variety of well-priced options, and even the cappuccinos were excellent. The kiddies’ milkshakes were a highlight, served in the cutest little glass jars. There’s also a big yellow frame outside, perfect for an Instagram-worthy photo. The restaurant is very family-friendly, with plenty to keep the little ones entertained — from colouring activities to jumping castles and even a jungle gym. The staff are incredibly friendly, and there’s a lovely selection of gifts available to purchase, including brandy, gin, and homemade sauces. I will definitely be popping in again when visiting family in Vredendal.

Excellent food. A big variety of wines for the connoisseur. Beautiful views. Fantastic atmosphere. Traditional wood oven pizzas.
