We came for the gin tasting and brewery tour. Marius was great and we learnt quite a bit. The gin tasting session was also pretty cool. I'm just not a gin person although I did find a favourite or two. It's a beautiful place with beautiful views and lovely spots for images.

My cousin got married here and it was nothing short of exceptional. An absolutely beautiful setting, with a ceremony that felt both intimate and grand at the same time. The bride and groom looked incredible, and the location suited the occasion perfectly. The brewery aesthetic adds such distinctive charm, and the Friesian horses were a personal highlight, my favourite breed. For those who may not know, Friesians were used as the Pegasus horses in the Clash of the Titans films, which also happen to be among my favourites. It made the entire atmosphere feel even more cinematic. Breakfast at the restaurant the next morning was equally exceptional. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. This place is simply outstanding.

Edit: To make it clear: we never asked for a full refund. We asked to be treated fairly. The deposit that was held back for the broken glass plane (that you admitted did not adhere to regulations) was not even paid back after you realised that BH was in the wrong, never mind a percentage of the fees that was paid. Horrible experience with my son's wedding. We were accommodated as part of a wedding group, and the experience fell well below what one would reasonably expect. Several basic issues stood out. During a three-day stay, the room was supplied with only two coffee sachets, the toilet was unhygienic, and the bathroom floor became very slippery when wet, with no safety precautions in place. There were also no visibility markers on the glass, creating a genuine safety concern for guests. Dining at the restaurant was disappointing on two occasions due to poor service and staff who appeared disengaged. These matters were brought to the attention of both on-site management and the owners. While they initially admitted that service levels were not acceptable and promised improvement, they later maintained that the service had been delivered as agreed and avoided taking responsibility for the actual experience. (And most probably will "answer" this with these promises) The wedding couple were understandably embarrassed by the way their guests were treated. Based on this stay, I would strongly caution others against choosing this venue if they expect cleanliness, safety, and attentive service.

My daughter's wedding was held here on the 25/1/2025 and can only commend the management and staff on their efforts to make her wedding a memorable occasion. All her family and friends raved about how fantastic the venue was the bridal party accommodation, the guest house, chapel, reception as well as the beautiful gardens where the wedding photos were taken. I would highly recommend Black Horse Wedding venue to anyone wanting the perfect venue.
