We chose Qambathi for our honeymoon because of its location and great package offering and we were not disappointed. The delicious 5 course dinners included in the price were amazing; there were lots of small attention to details that made us feel so special on our honeymoon. The location helps you to unwind and connect as couple. If you are a hiker then there are lots of options around you and other activities to do. The stable suit where we stayed had a wood fired hot tub and all the amenities you could want for a cosy, comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be back.

Over a recent weekend, I had the privilege of staying at Qambathi Mountain Lodge in the Kamberg, and it was nothing short of magic. Owned by Stephen and Nadia Maritz, Qambathi is a beautiful example of love, hard work, and vision. They have transformed an old farmstead into a bespoke five-bedroom boutique lodge that feels both luxurious and deeply personal. You feel it the moment you arrive. We were warmly looked after by a wonderful team, including Lindani, Chef Emma, and the rest of the staff, who made our stay effortless and memorable. Qambathi has a way of slowing you down. The setting is peaceful and calm, perfect for a reset. We enjoyed birdwatching (and were lucky enough to spot crowned cranes), walked the forest paths, and visited the nearby village of Tendela, which added a real sense of place to the experience. The food was exceptional: five-course bespoke dinners that change nightly, paired with delicious drinks and continental breakfasts. Add the swimming pool, mountain views, and quiet atmosphere, and you have a truly special getaway. If you need fresh air, space to think, or simply time to breathe, this is the place. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their exceptional hospitality. We’ll definitely be back in winter, when the fireplaces are lit and everything is cosy and snug.

Wow, wow, wow! What an intriguing experience! Tranquility, impeccable service, & robust food! We were welcomed with friendly staff and tasty home made iced-tea. The honeymoon suite was clean and smelt lovely - and we were also very delighted with the new addition to the suite, the HOT TUB. Surrounded by nature, Appaloosas, bearded vultures, zebra's, springbokkies, rooibokkies and mountains... it was indeed one of the best romantic birthday weekend getaways! Hats off to the incredible chef Nqobile who spoilt us with top class fine dining and tickling our taste buds with every meal! I would HIGHLY recommend Qambathi to anyone seeking absolute bliss. ~Angela
