Visiting the Brahman Hills gardens and art installations was a profoundly moving experience. The wild winter Midlands landscape juxtaposed the formal planting was a joy to experience. Bring comfy shoes, it is extensive and needs a few hours (if not days) to truly absorb. The landscaping and gardening team has created something truly special. The fact that this was built during Covid Lockdown heightens one's appreciation that there is so much light that can be created during dark times. The tribute at the entrance to the garden is a must read. It is R90 to visit and you are able to redeem your entrance fee at the restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely lunch, the asian beef fillet on seasonal greens was particularly good. We will be back to view the garden in all her seasons and explore the new Serenity trails.

Booked a one bedroom cottage for me, my wife and my son. When booking the cottage on booking.com I stated that it was three people. When booking the cottage, the Brahman hills advert on booking.com stated it had 2 x sleeper couches and had a photo of the view and a bath, however on arrival to the cottage there was no bath and it wasnt the view we were expecting and paid for, the photos and descriptions on Booking. com are misleading and falsely advertising the one bedroom cottage. Upon arrival we were informed we need to pay R900 extra per night for my child to stay, even after on booking.com we put in 3 people. We said they can just bring us sheets and a pillow and we will let him sleep on the sleeper couch as advertised. They said okay we will just pay the R385 per day for his breakfast (exorbitant amount for a childs breakfast). We also never received the sheets, only a thick blanket and pillow and there were no sleeper couches as advertised. When we noticed there was no bath as my wife cannot shower, as she cannot get her ears wet, the receptionist did not want to accommodate us and told us the other unit was booked, when in fact no-one came to that unit the entire time of our stay, when we discussed the false advertising on booking. com by Brahman Hills, she said we should of used google to search for the unit, Im a frequent traveller and use booking.com for all my trips and first time im experiencing this false advertising of a cottage. Also on booking.com there is no mention that the SPA is closed and that there fishing is closed and absolutely nothing to do there as the whole place / grounds is under construction, The jacuzzi jets also just stopped working and the small table in the lounge is so unstable, your food falls off it. This is far from 5 star and definitely not worth over R8000 a night.
