Loved the 'English-Pub' where we all had a lovely lunch with generous portions. We all tried the beer and gin tasting. As always, it is the perfect way to spend an afternoon in the Midlands. Beautiful dam views as well!

I have no words to describe how bad the service in this hotel is! Overworked staff with an owner staying on the property and not invested in his hotel at all. Food is shockingly bad. Not even average. Our first dinner we waited 2 hours for our food. We had to send our starters back as my soup tasted more like carrot cake. It was full of sugar and cream and absolutely disgusting. Our second dinner was just as bad. If you a foodie stay away, same if you have dietary restrictions. Never again! Thank you

Spent the most amazing weekend here with some friends for my 40th. Everything was just perfect – from meals and service to our charming private rooms. The team also helped decorate the front patio for a surprise high tea. Highly recommend this absolute gem and can’t wait to return!

The food and dessert is overrated. The service needs a lot of work. The hotel/lodge is run down and not well maintained. Not eco friendly at all. The fireplace debris is stockpiled (now a huge heap) at the back of the hotel, separating the hotel and staff quarters. It’s a health hazard to the environment, staff, children at play, wild animals and the stray cats (not sterilised) around the premises. The food and dessert is overrated.
