Don't miss this gem of a bush lodge! I brought a small group for a photo safari and loved it. The staff is top-notch, the accommodations are lovely, and the food was incredible!! As a big surprise, we got to meet and have some amazing education from the owners, Jules and Garth! Five stars does not quite cover it! Well done!

The Leopard's Lair was superb. Sonja and her staff made everyone in our group of eight feel like we were home. The meals were spectacular. One of our group has celiac and the staff expertly accommodated her gluten-free needs. The staff prepared a wonderful braai on our last evening which was out of this world. The location on the Estate, next to the river, was great. We were able to observe many animals right from the Lodge or on our daily walks around the estate. Easy accessibility to all Hoedspruit shopping, dining, and wildlife activities. Bottomline, Sonja and staff make the Leopard's Lair the smart travelers lodge of choice in the Hoedspruit area. Incredible how a guest house can be as nice as this place. Like seriously. Rooms are perfect. I don’t even know how to describe it. They clean your room every single day. They are so kind. The pool is freezing cold. It was like taking an ice bath. But we did see an antelope there.
