Never realised that this was a co-ownership model, with individual rooms / cottages separately owned and managed by an independent entity, as with Clarkie's restaurant. We used it as a stop over on the way to the Kruger (the road past Dullstroom and onwards to Phalaborwa and environs is another story). Karin and the staff were extremely helpful, the room and cottage we stayed in were both spotless, well appointed and comfortable. The little lake and the ducks make this a very special and relaxing place to spend a few hours and just chill. Karin is on top of her game and was really helpful when we had to change bookings, twice. Their high ratings are well deserved! BTW even though there is an issue with their liquor licence, Clarkie's serves some great food and is well worth supporting ....

We loved our stay here. We arrived after hours but communication from Karin was excellent and we were able to book in without any issues. The room was cozy and comfortable. The gardens are well kept and the ducks give it a special atmosphere. They are also well priced.

We stopped here for dinner on our way to Johannesburg. Service was great, and so was the food. Our group was big, and on the table were 7 steaks and some other food which was delicious and more than affordable. A full table of food and the bill was less than 25 euros per person. I highly recommend the food.

Rooms were worn and a bit dark. View and fireplace made it cozy though. Bathroom was great. Modern and an amazing tub. Check in was robotic. Good for a one night stop over.
