The location is great, the hostess is absolutely amazing and attentive. Great venue for the summer. Our only challenge was trying to warm up the house with the cold winter weather. The high pitched room with no insolation allowed all the fire generated heat to escape. Electric blankets on all the beds so once you are in bed you get warm. Ended up using our 20 bags of wood, and almost half of the hosts wood (~R700) which was the only downside. We gave the hostess positive feedback on this item only, but it was a very cold stay

This was our second time visiting Bluebell House. And let me tell you we have fallen in love with the property. It feels like home! The rooms are spacious, fully-fitted kitchen, braai area & lovely garden. Good value for your money is a bonus.

We had a truly delightful stay at the Serengeti Cabin at Springvalley Retreat. The setting is perfectly suited to both quiet relaxation and gentle exploration, with beautiful dams and scenic hiking trails inviting you to unwind at your own pace. The cabin itself is thoughtfully appointed, with every utensil one might need readily available. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, making self-catering effortless. The bedrooms and bathrooms are equally well prepared, and the high-quality bedding adds a touch of comfort and refinement that enhances the overall experience.

This is probably our 6th stay at Remi Lodge and won’t be our last! We love it for the beautiful house, gardens, scenery and wildlife. We have made great memories with family and friends here. The house itself has everything you want, and extra’s. It is far enough out of town for quietness and out of city experience but close enough to still enjoy what dullstroom has to offer.
