Very nice experience. Staff were excellent from the time they showed us menus before we decided to sit, to laughter and banter later. Friendly but efficient with hands on owner. It makes all the difference. We had smoked trout starter, Alfredo pasta to share (it had tomatos in which was different) and ye ol favourite.... peppermint pud. The Kloovenburg range that they sell was exceptional too. A great afternoon!!

A good place to stop half way to Kruger National Park. Nice atmosphere, love the A frame ceiling and outdoor dining area framed with lavender bushes. I had grilled calamari served with fries and salad. Calamari was overcooked, fries limpid but nice fresh salad

The restaurant has an extensive menu, but somehow they executed all of our dishes to a very high standard. The pizza is better than that of most pizza speciality restaurants! I took a while to decide what I wanted but at no point did I feel rushed by the staff. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive.

Was around 5pm. Stopped off at the mayfly (altitude) for a quick bite to eat. Really nice burger, it was raining and there was a nice gas heater to keep the patrons warm. There was a group of people who unfortunately were inebriated and noisy and seated right next to us However.. the burger was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful
