This is a beautiful property located right in town. We had no issue going back and forth either on foot or the rented bikes. We stayed in the Forrest cottages and the amount of room and layout was wonderful. I visited with a girlfriend and we each had our own private space which is hard to find on a trip and is a great value. The kitchen set-up was amazing with a kettle and air fryer. We were able to have fires inside and outside each night to make the experience cozy. Reception will deliver wine to your room in the evening, but no food was available on-site after 3pm, which was a surprise to us. Housekeeping came everyday and did a great job. There is no golf cart service within the property so expect long walks each time you want to go back to your room, this was fine for us because it was good weather, but could be a detriment in extreme heat or rain. Overall, we would certainly stay again

We stayed at La Cotte for two nights as part of an anniversary trip to Southern Africa. We arrived on a cold, wet and windy day and were quickly ushered to the safety of our beautiful room with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Everything about our stay here was perfect - from the friendly staff to the welcome sparkling wine, the comfy bed and the excellent breakfasts. The hotel is just a well-lit short walk from the main town centre making it ideally located for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, while having easy access to all that Franschhoek has to offer. After a day spent on the Wine Tram, returning to La Cotte was very much like coming home!

A stunning, comfortable and unique property. Quite magical. We loved our stay at La Cotte. If you don't have a car you will potentially do a bit of walking on the property but the lovely porters gave us rides in the golf cart when available. Otherwise perfection.

La Cotte Restaurant never fails to amaze me in a town where the culinary services are often overrated. We were served by a very professional waiter, Blessed. The training of staff stands out at this establishment. When this was still a private farm, I celebrated my 30th birthday in the dining room of the main house. Yesterday, we celebrated our 37th Wedding anniversary and were treated so well. Thank you La Cotte staff and management!
