Siran gave us unbelievable service even though he was new to the job!! If he hadn’t told us, we would’ve thought he’d been there for years! Very knowledgable, and really took his time to tell us stories about each wine. The setting is simply stunning. We visited this winery as our first stop on the Franschoek wine tram, it was quiet even though it was a Saturday. 5/5 well earned stars, thank you - faultless!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue. From the beautiful rooms and stunning grounds to the picturesque backdrops for our photos, everything was perfect. The staff were incredible throughout the day. Our drinks were never empty, the banter never stopped, and nothing was too much trouble. They even discreetly stood behind our wedding arch pillars during a windy ceremony to make sure it stayed upright! The combination of a stunning location and such attentive, hardworking staff made our day truly unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend this venue more highly. Thank you for making our wedding so special!

We chose Vrede en Lust Wine Estate as our wedding venue, and I truly cannot thank Juanne and the entire team enough for creating the most incredible three-night retreat for us and our guests. I first visited the venue with Juanne a year before our wedding, and it completely lived up to — and exceeded — the dream. The estate is breathtaking, with beautiful and varied accommodation, expansive grounds, and multiple spaces for each part of the celebration, from the ceremony to the cocktail garden and the indoor reception. Surrounded by lush greenery and mountains, it somehow still felt intimate and perfectly suited to our group of 32 guests. In the lead-up, communication was excellent. The team was thorough, organised, and worked seamlessly alongside our wedding planner, which made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. The food, drinks, and desserts were consistently delicious and plentiful across all events. And what truly stood out was the team themselves, every staff member was warm, friendly, and proactive, always making sure we were taken care of without ever feeling overwhelming. Their attention to detail was exceptional, from thoughtful little notes to sweet treats left in the rooms, touches that made the experience feel even more special. We feel incredibly lucky to have celebrated such an important moment here. If you’re looking for a venue that combines natural beauty, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, I couldn’t recommend Vrede en Lust more highly.

We feel incredibly lucky to have celebrated our wedding at Vrede en Lust, it truly exceeded all our expectations. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully picturesque and it was the perfect setting for our wedding. The food and wine were exceptional, and every detail was beautifully done. What stood out most, though, was the staff. They were outstanding from start to finish making both us and our guests feel so well cared for throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
