The view was amazing, quiet and relaxing. We were greeted friendly and check in was easy. We loved staying there. We will book again

Our group of 9 motorbikers stayed here overnight while the other 2 riders were bedded down nearby but, I know, we got the better deal. Nice, large, well maintained, Swiss style wooden lodge set in it's own grounds facing the estuary. There is plenty of room for parking. The manager welcomed us, rooms were allocated and we settled in. Wifey and I had a double room with a partially divided off big bathroom which had a large sink counter area with a huge mirror above that was well lit. The shower was a good size with plenty of powerfully delivered hot water. Apart from the other bedrooms on the elevated first floor there's also a large sitting and dining area with a bar style kitchen area in one corner and a separate kitchen. Off that there's a large covered veranda facing the estuary. On the ground level are further self contained bedrooms. We chose to go to the harbour area to eat so didn't stock the kitchen but hats off to the manager who supplied all the bits for teas and coffees in the morning, lifesaver! Definitely worth looking at if you're a group travelling together.

Highly would not recommend, we were greeted with a man who smelled of alcohol and was clearly under the influence, he made us feel very uncomfortable. After about 15 minutes there our car's window was smashed in and our belongings were stolen. We felt very unsafe. Giving one star, because no stars were not an option.

Fantastic place to stay. We stayed in the deck room so we had our own deck with chairs to enjoy the nice view over the lagoon. Is a good place to go if you want piece and quiet but still want to be close to Knysna. We had breakfast on the outside deck over looking the lagoon which is a great way to start your day.
