Sadly, what should have been a relaxing Easter weekend turned into a very disappointing stay. The hotel feels neglected and outdated, with so much potential that’s simply overlooked. . We initially had to request a room change due to how run-down our first room was. Unfortunately, the second villa wasn’t much better - beds had to be replaced as they were completely uncomfortable, more like hammocks than proper beds. The overall service was equally concerning. Staff came across as inattentive and disengaged, buffet areas were often left dirty, and there was a noticeable lack of care in the day-to-day experience. Management seemed largely absent, only visible when they came to eat breakfast in the main restaurant every morning, which added to the frustration. It’s clear this hotel could be something truly special, but it is in desperate need of strong management, proper staff training, and a complete refresh to bring it back to life. Oh and on site day spa have untrained beauty therapist performing chemical peels. Manager confronted. And admitted the staff were not trained. Do not waist your time or money at this hotel - unless taken over by a new group - there’s really much better accommodation in the area for the same value.

Lovely experience! All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Amazing poolside assistance with exceptional food. Rooms were serviced everyday with all amenities working. Pools were clean with a lovely spa overlooking the beautiful waterfront of Knysna. I recommend this wonderful place I will most surely come to again as soon as time allows!

This place was really certifying for me to have spent a night. All the experience was top notch. From the room straight 5 stars and dining perfectly planned and welcoming staff.

Wi-Fi not working, mentioned it multiple times and nothing is being done. Rooms smell really stuffy. Booked a family room for 4, but everything in the room is catered for 2, 2 glasses, 2 cups, etc. How is this a 4 star accommodation???
