There are so many beautiful locations in the Paarl area where you can have a function, and after visiting them for a wedding I can say that La Ferme Derik is definitely one of those. They have a beautiful lawn where the ceremony was held that had big trees and bushes on both sides, with the winelands and mountains as the back drop, adding to the special atmosphere of the day. After the ceremony we were also able to enjoy some drinks and appetizers outdoors on the terraces while the couple went off for their photo session. The building where we had the reception was nice and spacious (keeping in mind Covid regulations) and was beautifully decorated. The food was very tasty and the staff were friendly. There was also ample secure parking available for guests. As I was not involved in the planning of the weekend I have no insight into the costs or the process you need to follow, but I can say we had an awesome time and it was a beautiful venue.

This is truly one of the best venues I visited in Paarl for a wedding. The scenery is beautiful and you have an amazing view over the valley while the couple gets married. The food was prepared with so much detail and care and it was more than enough for everyone. Decor - exactly how I would've wanted my wedding. Owner constantly checking on guests during the evening to see if they need anything.

The road leading up to the venue was dusty and rugged. There needs to be better signage to sure us where to turn into. When I got to the venue building, it looked quaint and smallish. Do not let this deceive you. As you walk through the pathway leading to the actual venue, it look soo magical with all the trees on either side and when u see the actual venue, it takes your breath away. For the price of hiring the venue, its really well worth it. The kitchen was clean, the staff and host friendly. The place overall looked very magical. A great place for a wedding or birthday.
