I stayed at Laborie after a wedding at their venue. The room was gorgeous with the most beautiful view of the vineyards. The included breakfast was unlimited and divine! The staff were so lovely and easy assisted me the next day to book a last minute extra night in my room. I’d go every year

Went to the Stoep restaurant at Laborie wine estate. Beautiful place. Nice vibe. Kiddies play area. Not too far from Cape Town. Worth the drive.

To whom it may concern, We stayed in the villas at Laborie for one night as we were attending a wedding at the venue. The area is truly beautiful; however, there was a noticeable lack of attention to detail that dampened the experience. The villa we were in had no two-pin plugs, we weren’t provided with slippers, the windows wouldn’t open, and the toilet seat was not the correct size — it didn’t fit around the toilet the way it should, which resulted in “bathroom issues.” One or two of these things would be understandable, but this many suggests that the rooms are simply not being checked before guests check in. The breakfast experience was also disappointing at best. The buffet was thoroughly underwhelming, especially considering the cost of the accommodation. We waited over 50 minutes for our ordered eggs, and when they arrived, mine were overcooked. Overall, the impression I was left with is a total lack of attention to detail, which I can only attribute to an issue with management. I would strongly suggest addressing this. The area is beautiful, but if the small things aren’t done right, it undermines the entire experience.

Never again! For a hotel of this price range not to have a reception open until 22:00 nor having any well-lit signage is disgraceful. Came here with a high level delegation of 7 people after a full day travel at 21:00 only to be serviced by an untrained guard (granted he did try to help in broken English but understandably could not leave his post at the gate). He did provide the keys and gave basic directions to find our way in the dark. We ended up parking first heading to reception which was locked up. Then we wandered around in the dark, one of the overseas delegates almost tripped on the uneven grounds, no lighting, no signage for the rooms. We wandered around for at least 20 minutes in the cold. The rooms and location are as advertised but definitely not an establishment that seems to care for the well being of their guests; for this price there are many better establishments in Paarl for much lower prices! Not coming again; seems they don't care for the patronage.
