From the very first moment to the final goodbye, Eagle’s Nest made our fairytale intimate wedding feel truly magical ✨ The setting was absolutely breathtaking—romantic, serene, and picture-perfect in every way. Really good location. Beautiful views and nature. However it's obvious that the units are outdated. Alot needs to be refurbished. The single beds in the 2nd bedroom I stayed in was particularly worn and not suitable for an adult. The other major issue are the ants. They are all over in the unit, no matter how much you clean. I also found a dangerous looking spider under my duvet and it's babies,as well as spider webs. Luckily I checked before getting into bed. Shower was not that good either. The kids play area needs to fixed too.

During the week of 24 - 28 November 2025, I was privileged to accompany a group of seniors to Eagle Nest Resort. The resort is situated between Sedgefield and the Garden Route of South Africa, built on the hills and overlooks the Garden Route Lake District. It's situated just off the N2 on route from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, between Wilderness and Sedgefield. The Outeniqua Mountains range in the background of 3 lakes, namely Lang, Swart en Rondevlei. We occupied free standing units, fully equipped for self catering. Each unit has a private entrance, which can accommodate 6 people, 4 adults and 2 children.. The unit comprises 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed, and has built in cupboards as well as a shower and bath. The second spacious room has 2 single beds and built-in cupboards as well. A drawn out couch for the children. A neat fully fitted kitchen and inside braai area. The main building had a dining hall, we opted to have supper in the well lit, beautifully furnished and spacious area. The hall can accommodate 50 people. It has sliding doors on the side should there be more than 50 guests. It also boasts a bridal suite. It is pet friendly, but with a minimal pet surcharge per day. Everyday we took rides out to the following place. From Eagles Nest, we visited Cango Caves - R200 Cango Wildlife - R210 Adventure Land- seniors paid R155 admission fe Jubilee's Creek - R70 It also boasts a heated swimming pool, you have to bring your own tools for swimming and not the ones supplied in the units. Unlimited free WiFi is available, but only when around/close to the main building. Wow .. the chapel is perfect for weddings and renewal of vows. I would recommend the resort for an amazing family holiday.

We had the most incredible experience at Eagles Nest Resort in Sedgefield! From start to finish, the service from Maryna and her team was absolutely fantastic. A very special thank you to Maryna and her husband Frans for their exceptional attention to detail and for truly making us feel like we had found a home away from home. Our wedding day went off without a hitch — the venue was stunning, the harvest and gin tables beautifully presented, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate every request. The honeymoon suite and guest chalets were pristine, well-kept, and excellent value for money, offering everything you could need for comfortable self-catering accommodation. Planning a wedding from Richards Bay could have been stressful, but thanks to Maryna’s competent and caring communication via calls and emails, everything came together perfectly. We are truly grateful for the wonderful service and unforgettable memories created at Eagles Nest Resort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful venue with heartfelt hospitality! 💛 Thank you so much!
