We had a Birthday Lunch at the lodge today for my sister's 60th. What a superb experience... from the moment of first contact to the actual lunch... the views, the table settings, the food, the service and just the whole experience. The chef even baked a special Birthday Cake that we didn't order or expected!! 🎂All 17 guests had only praise to offer for the wonderful afternoon. Thank you to Michael, Eden and team. You are outstanding🥇🥇 We will be looking for reasons to return😁😁

Rude waitron, service non existent. The views are beautiful, but the ambience is spoilt by the waitron banging the doors, and all sorts of banging when making coffee. Went with two friends for lunch. Food was delicious, service was non existent. When booking i asked for the golf cart to collect us and take us up to the restaurant, a nice addition as you go through the grounds and spot the animals. The lady on the other side of the phone said they do not offer the service anymore because they cannot afford it! This is a Simbavati lodge, a very strange comment to make to public. Do not think I will go back. Management seems to be lacking, and it is not pleasant to have a rude waitron, will rather spend my money elsewhere.

What a tranquil place Simbavati Fynbos on Sea is! My husband and I spent 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon and had a fabulous time. We were exceptionally well looked after by Michael and his team who always went the extra mile. Our room was beautiful, with patio doors that lead out onto a patio area that overlooked the sea. The food here is exceptional, some of the best we had during our 3 week trip. The evening menu is small, however you're shown this during breakfast so should you not fancy anything you can make alternative arrangements. It should be noted that it is around a 10 minute drive from the main gate up to the lodge, this absolutely didn't bother us as we loved the peaceful and secluded feel this give the hotel, whilst being close enough to drive to various points along the Garden Route. Thank you for looking after us so well!

Loved the secluded location, the first two days it’s rained and we got to rest a bit. The breakfast was always great, they even made a home made cake for my partners birthday- they went the extra mile What I would have liked is for the heated pool not to be switched off as we wanted to swim when else came back one of the afternoons 💔 The staff is kind and accommodating The location calm and views breathtaking It’s a short drive to the beach which is also quiet, We had a great time
