Gorgeous. We wish we had stayed longer. It's a beautiful hotel and perfect place to relax after a few enjoyable but busy days in Capetown. The hotel was lovely. The food gorgeous. The 3 course breakfast a perfect relaxing way to gently start the day. The service professional and so friendly. Swellendam was nicer than we expected to, and we gladly would have stayed another day.

What a lovely stay I had at the Schoone Oordt house. I arrived after dark with no warning, rang the bell at the gate, and was ushered in and taken straight to a beautiful room – it felt like arriving at a friend's luxurious country estate! I enjoyed a glass of wine by the fireplace in the lovely bar/library, and then had a gourmet dinner. When I returned to my room a fire had been lit in the fireplace and a hot water bottle placed in the bed with the turndown service. And the icing on the cake was getting to chat a bit with the owners – they are lovely! I will definitely be back for another stay.

We were lucky to experience our stay at Schoone Oordt in their Honeymoon suite. And what a great time did we had! The suite was cosy with it’s own fireplace and due to the winter time it was a welcome extra as also the hot water sack’s in our beds! The staff and food are amazing! This Country House you definitely have to experience! A wel deserved 5 out of 5 stars from us!

We had an unforgettable stay at Schoone Oordt Country House. We were traveling with our two young kids and the family suite was truly memorable. Staff were so attentive and friendly. The food was an absolute highlight - truly perhaps the best food we've ever had in a hotel. Save room for amazing scones with afternoon tea and also world class breakfast where you will be amazed yet again. Definitely worth the stop along the way if you're doing the Garden Route!
