We had a wonderful stay at Swellendam Country Lodge. Jan and Vivianne are truly welcoming hosts. Their warm and personal welcome made us feel comfortable straight away. The lodge has a charming and peaceful atmosphere and is decorated with great care. The bed was very comfortable and we slept extremely well. Breakfast was generous, with fresh, high-quality products and a freshly prepared egg made to order. It was a lovely way to start the day. As this was our first time in South Africa, we had several questions before our arrival. All our emails were answered clearly and in detail. We also received great recommendations for restaurants in Swellendam and helpful advice for the next part of our route. We really appreciated the personal attention and guidance. A place where comfort and genuine hospitality come together. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at the Swellendam Country Lodge. The owners Jan and Vivianne are ever so kind and helpful and together with their staff they managed to exceed all our expectations and made us feel right at home. Whether it was the map we got with restaurants of the area (conveniently marking the ones open during our stay), the great breakfast or the tips we got for day trips, all were right on the spot. And imagine my surprise, walking to the car one morning and finding the gardener washing it! Special shout out to the lovely dog Khaya who escorted us to our cottage after a day trip and was the star of the breakfast room. I cannot recommend this place enough, so if you are ever in the area, don't hesitate and stay here!

Perfect little place in a perfect little town. For us and ideal stopover between Oudtshoorn and Cape Town, but has enough to stay around. Vivienne and Jan + staff (and dog!) do everything to make you feel at home. Rooms are nice with ample amenities. Pool is nice. Absolutely highlight is breakfast. Just perfect.

Lovely guesthouse situated at the edge of town. Clean and beautiful rooms. Super comfortable bed. Wonderful pool surrounded by threes full of lovely birds, super relaxing! Lovely and caring owners with the cutest dog. Breakfast was everything you need, and presented like it was a piece of art. Thanks for the warm welcome! You made our first night in South Africa a very nice one!
