We camped in campsite 12. Was lovely as we had our own abultions with a wash up area as well. Only issue that I had is that they dont have monkey/hyena proof dustbin so had to pick up all the rubbish in the morning. They know this is a problem. Also no map of self drive routes. Download maps me and track record so you know where you are.

Affordable safari holiday option. Would come back here again due to affordability. We stayed in the Lalapanzi camp. The chalet was comfortable and nice enough. It had a TV, coffee station, bar fridge and ensuite with shower. We ate onsite at the restaurant; the food was okay. We saw antelope, giraffes and monkeys. Thankfully the crocodiles were hiding in the water. Overall a memorable experience.

We booked into the Oval camp and camped over Easter weekend. Thank you Bonamanzi for an amazing experience and friendly staff! We did self-drives in the morning and a game drive in the afternoon. The game ranger we had was super fantastic, informative and also had a great sense of humour! Camp site was neat and tidy, ablutions and kitchen clean, water pressure was great (after pipes got fixed due to elephants) and the general reserve was wonderful. We will definitely visit Bonamanzi Game Reserve again!

The area while having the potential to be lovely is very tired and needs a good spruce up. The viewing deck is filthy and completely full of cobwebs and grime. Which is sad as the outlook is beautiful. The staff in the camp are extremely kind and attentive but ineffective as they can only work with what they have. I commend the barman who is exceptional. The area is very noisy as the units are so close together. We stayed in Aricamps and we can hear full conversations from the people either side of us. It was incredibly unpleasant. One unit played loud music till way after 10pm. We also had a party going in over the dam from us one night. The screaming and music was unplayable. As a game reserve and nature environment this is not what we would look for going forward.
